A new asylum

⏲️ Time: < 1 min

I just wanted to post quick that I am going to be making Michaelbox a webdev/WordPress/freelance/career blog only. Late last night I set up a new blog over at WordPress.com and will aim to do any and all “personal” blogging through it. You can find it below and in the sidebar.

The Pirate Asylum

Some of you may be scratching your head over why I went with wordpress.com, when I so frequently work with self-hosted versions of WordPress. The answer is pretty simple really. I wanted to see the other side of the coin in a hands on and 1st-person way, and I felt that I should be at least a little familiar with .com blogs in the event that I manage to get a job with Automattic, which isn’t out of the question. I just need to remember to gather my resume and resources and apply. If you want to kick me to remind me, feel free, I’d likely appreciate.

Sidenote: this past week I went into my stylesheet and ripped it to shreds a bit. Too many people had issues with the white on dark, so I decided to fix that while still waiting for a finished custom design to implement. Hopefully it’s all easier to read!
